For centuries, the inhabitants of this city have not forgotten those who made an effort in the conquest of Istanbul and the city's formation as a center of Turkish-Islamic civilization and sacrificed their lives in the way of Allah, and they always kept their memories fresh.
The first masjids, first neighborhoods and bazaars of Ottoman Istanbul and those who carried out the city's policy of enlivening were the people who received the good news of the Messenger of Allah. What a great blessing it was for those who had the honor of living in this city. And being their neighbors as well...
The first qadi of Ottoman Istanbul, Hızır Bey, and its first governor, Subaşı Karıştıran Süleyman Bey, were among Ni'me'l Ceyş (Happy Soldiers). How many cities have mayors and governors in the world that are so blessed with the good news of our Prophet... For this reason, those who administer the city from these offices are under two types of responsibilities and are honored with them.
According to historical sources and contemporary researchers, there are more than 250 Ni'me'l Ceyş tombs in Istanbul. The number of masjids built during the Fatih period has reached 167.
We have prepared this book in your hand in order to remind once again these spiritual men who formed the first mortar for Istanbul, the city of civilizations, to make Istanbul an Ottoman city and who reached the rank of Ni'me'l Ceyş.
