The Museum Unit ensures the protection and control of museum works. It carries out activities related to the preparation of annual special museum statistics forms and sends them to the museums affiliated to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
All operational works such as classification, registration, research, inventory, photography, and creation of digital catalogues for works and cultural assets, as well as assigning shelf and box numbers, are performed in this unit.
The Museum Unit also carries out correspondence regarding the lending of works to temporary exhibitions. Preparation of works and delivery and preservation of the works returning from exhibitions are also under the responsibility of the museum unit.
Finally, this unit monitors the health of sources and reports any required conservation interventions.
