IPA Istanbul Library (Istanbul Urban Studies Library) aims to create a complete collection on the cities in Turkey, especially Istanbul, and the world. The IPA library hosts more than 20,000 printed books, mainly in the fields of urban studies, architecture, urban planning, and similar specialties. IPA Istanbul Library was established on July 5th, 2022 as a 'specialized library' at Özlem Türeci – Uğur Şahin IPA Campus. The aim of this library is to bring together all printed and digital resources published about Istanbul over time.
IPA Istanbul Library works with the Atatürk Library, and offers its users access to more than 40,000 printed research publications on Istanbul. In addition, a comprehensive digital database will be available to users as soon as possible. Through the researcher support programs, visiting researchers will be provided with workspace and priority services by the IPA Istanbul Library, in order to encourage the production of Istanbul-centred studies.
Reservation is required to benefit from the IPA Istanbul Library. The lower floor of the two-story library is open to general users with an online reservation.
