The Barış Manço Library has been providing service since 1999. It opened in the Birlik Neighborhood of the Esenler district in Istanbul in 2017. It is named after one of Turkey's most valuable artists and cultural ambassadors.
The library has an area of 468 square meters, and a capacity of 140 people. the library is home to a collection of 23,167 books covering different disciplines including History, literature, architecture, cultural heritage, art, and technology.
The library hosts various workshops and events, as well as programs supporting young people preparing for exams, and educational workshops.
All residents of the region are able to benefit from the lending services of the Barış Manço Library as well as all other libraries affiliated to the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Department of Cultural Heritage, Directorate of Libraries and Museums. Readers who wish to become members should apply to our libraries with an officially valid identity document such as a TR ID card, driver's license, or passport.
